The Specialist Rehabilitation Ambulatory Care Centre (SRACC) is part of a new world-class health and well-being precinct, Herston Quarter Redevelopment, and offers long-term rehabilitation and surgery for Brisbane-based patients.

Versalux, Fredon, Watpac, and Integral Group collaborated to transform SRACC’s multi-level car park into a structure that now triples the amount of car spaces available on site. Versalux was given the opportunity to provide a luminaire that blends robustness, reliability, and a premium lighting solution for the precinct. Herston Quarter selected our AURA series for the interior car park, our flagship industrial multi-purpose utility luminaire chosen here for its superior efficiency, long lifespan, limited maintenance requirements and low cost of ownership for the long-term.

320 AURA series fixtures were installed in the new SRACC parking facility, providing illumination based upon premium quality materials in a robust structure, and were easily incorporated into the car park’s aesthetics. The AURA fixtures were surface mounted and strategically positioned to provide the perfect solution for horizontal & vertical illumination and uniformity, allowing both vehicular and pedestrian traffic to flow safely and confidently around the entire facility, as well as offering high security and peace-of-mind for users of the facility.

The AURA luminaires have been pre-programmed as DALI dimmable for enhanced control over the facility’s 24-hour a day cycle, and secured by the luminaire’s tough IP65 construction to protect it from corrosion and atmospheric contaminants.

The newly built car park environment combines a sense of security and protection for vehicles and people who are now easily visible and exposed to artificial lighting in a much-needed glare-free environment for a warm and welcoming environment for a better customer experience. The risk of theft is reduced by the new AURA series lighting system working in tandem with the surveillance cameras in constant operation to protect both cars and people.
