Toshiba, leading electronics and consumer goods distributor moved its National Distribution Centre (NDC) from Homebush to new and larger premises in a more strategic location in Pelmuluy, New South Wales. The facility is situated on a 2.4 hectare site with the distribution centre having an impressive 12,500m² footprint.

Working closely with Toshiba, Versalux provided a tailored lighting design and advanced lighting solution utilising high-performance fixtures that would turn the new facility into a functional and sustainable resource for many years to come. The optical performance and features of the fixtures supplied ensure that the staff working throughout the racking, aisles, and common areas are able to perform at optimal levels to fulfil Toshiba’s Australia’s operational needs.

The MAXI CAPRI LED lighting system are suspended from the high roof and strategically positioned in aisles, above conveyor system machinery, and across common areas overlooking refilling and shelving to provide a superior and efficient lighting system that ensures an even light distribution and excellent visibility.

The optics of the MAXI CAPRI luminaires feature an acrylic prismatic refractor and a specialised multi-stage reflector specifically designed to deliver excellent visual comfort and vertical illumination, minimising both disability glare and discomfort glare. Versalux specially designed, engineered, and commissioned the MAXI CAPRI to tackle the issues created by high output LED luminaires in industrial spaces. Its superb output combines with its high visual comfort to fully cater to the needs of staff to enable them to perform tasks and operate high-speed industrial and automation machinery in a safe and secure setting.
