Anti-Vandal & Anti-Ligature

The Como ALAV transforms the premium Como downlight range into a robust, anti-ligature and anti-vandal solution suitable for high-risk environments, public spaces, health facilities and custodial settings. Designed to achieve IK10 and IP66 ratings, it combines strength and durability with refined aesthetics, thanks to a die-cast aluminium trim. Featuring stainless steel tamper-proof fixings, simple ceiling installation, and compatibility with ceilings up to 22mm (with options for deeper), the ALAV ensures security without compromising on design.

Available in multiple sizes, offering a wide range of colour temperatures from 2200K–4200K and excellent colour rendering, it also supports the integration of MelaGen® technology, delivering both performance and wellbeing benefits where they are most needed such as correctional facilities.

Como ALAV in more than just custodial environments

This luminaire serves more than just a durable luminaire option for high impact and risky environments. It is the perfect alternative to a clean downlight in an environment where water, food or anything else may be splashed on it. The ALAV housing kit allows for easy wipe down without the stress of damaging your luminaire.

Luminaire overview

Design

Luminaire body, trim, and fastening retaining clips in die-cast enamelled aluminium. LED module directly mounted on the luminaire housing to dissipate the heat for efficient thermal management. Torx-screw fixing of the lens trim.

Optic

A choice of a white or faceted reflector for Como S and M and a high purity aluminium reflectors in optimised two-part multi-faceted design for the Como L. Clear polycarbonate lens for vandal-resistant and splash-proof IP44 optics from the underside of the fixture.

Electrical

Remote electronic high frequency driver, fixed output, phase-cut dimmable or DALI dimmable drivers. Standard power settings providing highly functional lumen output packages. MelaGen® ReGen luminaires will require DALI DT8 control systems & drivers to perform the required light transition function.

Wattage: 8W - 38W

Light source

Highly energy efficient LED module with excellent luminous flux maintenance. With up to 20% increase in performance over previous versions, SDCM3.
CRI90+ as standard.

MelaGen® Active at 4200K, MelaGen® Calm at 2200K, or MelaGen® ReGen LEDs which has the ability to transition between Blue and Refresh either on a timer or manually.
