Traditional inspection task light
The L1 task lamp is a classic, timeless masterpiece which has been in production since 1937.
Whether you require a simple reading light, a piece of history, an avant-garde design or a lamp suited to today?s modern computer based workstation, you will find what you need in the L-1 task lamp.
L -1 is supplied with an L-arm and with external spring and parallel motion feature which always keeps the head horizontal to the surface.
Designer
Luxo L-1 is the original architect's luminaire, designed by Norwegian industrialist Jac Jacobsen. Manufacturing started in 1937 under the name Luxo, derived from Latin "I give light". L-1 soon became known as a real productivity booster in schools, offices, industrial plants and health care facilities, and a design icon among architects and designers all over the world. L-1 LED was launched in 2012 in connection with the 75th anniversary of the original.
Luminaire overview
Movement
The L-1-LED features Luxo's original parallel, spring-balanced, three-pivot 100cm arm. Head movement is both rotational and tiltable.
Note: Allowing for upward head tilt creates more flexibility but may cause unwanted glare.
Light Source
L-1-LED is equipped with state-of-the-art light emitting diodes, which provide bright, warm light. Light emitting diodes have an incredibly long life span. The diodes in Air LED have a life expectancy of 50,000 hours. That means 25 years or more with normal office use. You may never have to change the light source!
The Luxo Air-LED series is supplied with 1 x 8W integrated LED module, featuring a warm white 3000K colour temperature, with a good colour rendition index (CRI) of Ra90.
Construction
High quality construction is assured via the steel armature and the aluminium shade, with the spring-balanced movement that Luxo has mastered since the early 1900s.
Timer
An automatic shut-off timer is included in each Luxo L-1-LED series task lamp - it is set automatically to turn the LEDs off after 9 hours operation, but may be set to either 4 hours or back to 9 hours whenever the user desires.
Optics
L-1-LED features symmetric light output for direct focus on a task. Its inner shade is painted white for maximum efficiency, and has a translucent diffuser for a softer, glare-free light.
