Statement
At Versalux, we are committed to illuminating a sustainable future. Our comprehensive approach to sustainability spans every aspect of our operations, from product design to packaging and manufacturing.
Dark Sky initiative

Responsible lighting design for dark sky preservation
Sky glow is a combination of man-made sky glow and natural sky glow. It is the cumulative effect of each and every light source in the outdoor environment, and hence its minimisation is achieved by the careful selection of product and its placement in the environment.
Our lighting designs take into account the importance of preserving the night sky. Versalux are industry leaders through our solutions that minimise light pollution, protecting nocturnal ecosystems and allowing communities to enjoy starry nights.
How have we reduced light pollution?
- Our area luminaires are designed to fit seamlessly into a wide range of outdoor applications. They feature a unique optic designed to carefully eliminate upward light.
- Our unique Spectral Transition technology allows for colour temperature changes between PC Amber to 3000K in one luminaire, promoting a reduction in light pollution and minimising disruption to wildlife, whilst still adequately illuminating the space for humans.
Circular Economy

A circular economy is an economic system that aims to reduce waste by continuously reusing and recycling materials. It encourages sustainable practices to keep resources in use for as long as possible.
Here at Versalux, we play our part in the circular economy through using recycled materials in our packaging, creating products with outstanding lifespans, offering low-carbon aluminium extrusion products and offering aluminium poles created with Hydro energy.

Aluminium's role
Packaging and stock control

Significant stock holding in Melbourne, Australia.
Eco-friendly packaging: We're actively working to reduce plastic waste by implementing eco-friendly packaging solutions for our luminaires. This initiative aligns with industry leaders' efforts to phase out plastic in consumer product packaging.
To help reduce our carbon footprint, we decide to hold a significant amount of stock on hand in our Melbourne warehouse instead of ordering on demand. This reduces the number of shipments required to fulfill our customer orders, ultimately lowering CO2 emissions through transport.
