Swiss luxury watchmaker Breitling has opened its new flagship store & head office in the heart of prestigious Market Street in Sydney’s CBD. One of the most famous watch brands in Switzerland, Breitling is known for its strong heritage, iconic designs and exceptional quality.

Breitling worked with PCG, VOS Group Consulting Engineers, and Versalux to create a modern, contemporary lighting solution for its new vision. In order to fulfil Breitling’s brief, the lighting was required to reinforce the exclusivity of its brand, enhancing the feeling of a high-end retail setting aimed at attracting Sydney’s most affluent customers. The high-quality lighting systems selected were featured throughout the multi-level showroom, office areas and reception.

In the showroom areas, the VENICE 7 series projects a welcoming impression, drawing people inside the boutique. The luminaires selected are recessed downlights with tight-focused beam spreads, creating an ideal ‘sparkle’ from their timepieces, allowing them to be presented in the best possible way, oozing class in wall-mounted and stand-alone cabinets.

The VENICE 7 luminaires generate an appealing accent lighting effect that highlights the finer architectural aspects of the boutique with its timeless furniture and appointments. The luminaires generate a vibrant atmosphere that encourages clients to explore the product variety of watches, and to seek specialist advice from sales professionals or schedule in-store consultants.

The COMO series is displayed on the second floor of the throughout the entire head office. A premium luminaire featuring clean design and high performance, the COMO uses its multi-faceted reflector efficiently to produce high-level output and exceptional visual comfort for staff as they fulfil their duties.

The MIDNA decorative wall mounted luminaires filled a triple role of illumination, navigation, and accenting, generating a smooth burst of illumination against the wall of the staircase and the stairs themselves to assist in movement, location and visual interest. Its beams highlight the building’s architectural features and add a luxurious touch to the multi-level building.

The TRIXIE series is installed as a wall-mounted interior luminaire working in calculated tandem with the MIDNA fixtures to illuminate the staircase and their surroundings. The luminaires’ low-glare optics blend seamlessly into the staircase to provide unobtrusive illumination for safe movement on the staircase.
