Foodland - Happy Valley, SA

Versalux has successfully partnered in yet another high profile retail project, Foodland at Happy Valley, SA. Happy Valley Foodland is a locally owned and operated supermarket located in the picturesque Happy Valley in Southern Adelaide. Foodland have been serving the local community since 1987.

Working with DBR Projects, Foodland has just gone through their major refurbishment which involves the refrigeration, flooring, lighting, ceilings, most shop fittings & expanding the shop by an extra 235 square metres. The new structure combines a feature timber bulkhead with the new wooden floor along with some occasional timber panels on the ceiling. The project need was to create a multi-functional design which caters for both the staff and the customers of the Foodland supermarket, giving the buyers a great shopping experience.

Versalux expertise in retail lighting provided the lighting solution for the entire supermarket. Parma with Versatrack in 3K Colour temperature were used to provide high accent lighting for an additional drama in the fruit and veg areas.

High vertical features in many displays were achieved with the Brescia downlight. Warm Amalfi was used in the bakery displays which would bring out the freshness and colour of the bread. Axium is used in the aisles and the Deli being the central part of a supermarket, was lit up using 4K colour temperature Parma to emphasise the germ-free environment and instilling confidence among the shoppers.
