See below the video to show the change in lighting at Sonic, carried out recently at their factory in Bayswater (VIC).

The comparison is between Generic LED shop lighting (via the Government Power Saving Scheme) vs Versalux's DURALED CAPRI and VRLX families.
When you’re working on millions-of-dollars worth of race car – visibility is incredibly important. This is why the guys at Sonic Motor Racing Services reached out to discuss lighting options after a recent “upgrade” to LED shop lighting through a standard power-saving scheme.
The before and after shots are night and day (pardon the pun), with immediate differences in overall visibility and eye comfort across the whole workshop. Parts on shelves are easier to see in great detail, and the VRLX tubular lighting attached to the workshop hoists mean that the engineers can now work underneath the Porsche race cars without having to hold a torch.
Customer Testimonial:
"As we discussed at our initial site meeting, the workshop was gloomy and quite dark in some places. This made the detailed working on the racing cars somewhat onerous, difficult and time consuming.
Having the relighting now complete, a different environment is now apparent as soon as one enters the workshop. The engineers are now able to work more quickly and accurately due to the fact they can very easily and clearly see what they are doing. When you are measuring millimetres on a steel ruler, good overall non-shadowing lighting is required.
The ceiling mounted DURALED CAPRI provides an outstanding, even light. An even bigger difference to the work space has been the installation of VRLX on the hoist posts.
Detailed work on the underneath of the race cars has never been easier. There is now no need to use extension lights on cords which become a trip hazard so the workshop is a more brightly lit and safer environment."
